Catastrophic Bleeding

3 Hours Practical Training Certificate of Attendance

A catastrophic bleed is life-threatening and can kill in a matter of minutes. A first aider will need to act efficiently in those critical minutes to preserve life and minimise long term damage.

Uncontrolled haemorrhage (bleeding) remains one of the biggest challenges for medical first responders and one of the main causes of death preventable with the help and critical input from a first aider. This session has been designed for high-risk environments and will equip the first aider with the necessary skills, knowledge, and expertise on how to apply a Tourniquet and Haemostatic dressings.
